Fiction Saves the Day! celebrates local authors, who write fictional books for children, in honor of Black Children’s Book Week 2024. We will highlight the works of 5 authors local to the Washington, DC metro area and one online book boutique through storytimes, activities and meet-and-greets with the authors! This event is free to attend and open to the general public.
Black Children’s Books DMV+, founded in 2021, is a community based organization that supports local black children’s authors and creatives in black literature in the DC metro area through events and live conversations. Follow us on Instagram or check out our website for more information.
