University City: Black History Month Diversity in Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators Workshop

Celebrate Black History Month with the University City Regional Library for our Diversity in Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators Workshop.

Local illustrator Bre’anna M. Washington-Weatherford will be the guest presenter for this informative session.

During this workshop, you will be guided into how to self-publish and market children’s books that will connect with families who will love and benefit from them for generations. You will identify your why, learn best practices for using marketing tools, understand your target audience, channel the importance of having a growth-oriented mindset, enhance your creativity, and convey the art of storytelling and illustration. Attendees will also gain strategies to help them identify clear objectives and create measurable goals.

The presenter will also share upcoming projects and updates about her new book release.

You will not want to miss the jam-packed publishing session with the multitalented Bre’Anna M.Washington-Weatherford.

The first 30 people to register will receive a full-color workbook to keep as a reference from the workshop.
