DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Black History Month and Black Children’s Book Week with Black Lives Matter SPI at the African American History Museum! \nThree Black community leaders will read stories and speak to the attendees. Each child will receive a free book featuring Black characters to take home! We will also have a scavenger hunt to encourage children to check out all of the exhibits in the museum to learn more. \nIn addition\, many local organization are involved! Our local library will have a pop-up table to sign families up for a library card; The Kidzeum of Science will also host a table with coding tablets and other science related activities; and the League of Women Voters will have a table to register any families to vote that need to. \nWe are also collecting books from our wish list to give to the children\, and to restock our Little Free Libraries dedicated to Black authors! \nIf you are in the Springfield\, IL area\, please join us!
