SUMMARY:Hidden Histories New York and Beyond: An Art-Making Book Club
DESCRIPTION:The most exciting stories ever told are true events. When we learn about historical events\, we might ask who and why\, just as if we are reading a thriller! This book club\, for children\, ages 9-13\, and their grownups\, will look at events and people that we may not learn about in school\, with the focus being on New York history and its relationship to the United States. We will have a short discussion and then work with a visiting artist on an art-making project that will help us deepen the discussion and expand how we interpret history.
