Niyas Coily World Book Launch & Hair Talk Experience

Niya’s Coily World is a rhyming children’s book about hair empowerment and education for afro, coily textured children. Our focus on improving access to hair education and normalizing black hair in children’s literature. Partnership and collaboration is also a core part of our approach. That is why our book launch event is a collaboration with a renowned Toronto texture expert and hosted at a charming beauty salon in Toronto that focuses on curly hair textures.
This is an all-in-one event for hair empowerment and education! Parents and kids will enjoy a live-concept, hair inspiring experience, with hair demos, live readings, Q&As and much more.
More importantly, we intentionally set our event date on March 2, 2024 to align with BCBW. What an amazing opportunity to align with this initiative!
