Event Background Info: After noticing many bestselling books about Black Americans that are not authored by people who identify themselves as Black American or African-American, JFAM Johnson wanted to know WHY! Although there has been a great increase in the number of Black American and African-American authors creating their own narratives in the children’s book genre, their discovery revealed the rarity of Black and Brown children’s books authored by Black and Brown children. Now, JFAM Johnson is on a mission to inspire youth to create their ideal world, conquer all disharmony, and crush all stereotypes by authoring books, starting a motivational clothing brand, and producing other works of the imagination.
