All Hair is Good Hair

Join us for a celebration of black children’s books with a reading of “All Hair is Good Hair” by children’s book author Vontavia J. Heard, followed by a free black hair care class by Up Next Hair Academy. This event is about both literacy and self empowerment and is aimed towards kids ages 6-14! All attendees will get to meet the author and get a free signed copy of the book + a swag bag! They will also get to participate in a hair care class taught by a licensed beautician, where they will learn to care for their hair with love. This a free event open to the public, but RSVP is required as there is limited capacity!
