Authors Take On Dub This!

CALLING ALL LITERATURE AND MUSIC LOVERS! This event is where literacy and lyrics collide! Dub This! is a high-energy music card game that has been enjoyed by many! It can be played in-person and even virtually. Dub This! challenges players to use the lyrics they know and love after hearing a word on phrase and then try to stump the next player or team. The creator of Dub This!, Desireé Vaughn, will go live on Instagram @dubthisgame with 2-3 Black Children’s book authors to test how quickly these literature lovers can come up with those lyrics!
We are encouraging those who are tuning in to help their favorite authors “dub” given a word or phrase by adding song lyrics in the IG Live comments!
After 2-3 rounds of Dub This!, the authors (Christal Holliday-Firmin, Christopher E. Singleton and Ciara L. Hill) will share their works, what inspires them, and how you can keep up with their latest books and upcoming events.
