Hosted by Stories of a Colorful World and Kente Cones, this FREE community event honors Black children, Black stories, and the cultural legacy of Black authors and illustrators who make representation possible.

Black Children’s Book Week is a global celebration uplifting Black children and the people committed to ensuring they see themselves reflected in books and media. This event is intentionally designed to bring families together around literacy, culture, and joy—no trauma, just celebration.
