Meets Wednesday, February 22nd @3:30 PM Ages 5 – 9
Each month, Children’s Librarian Ms. Tea will drive the Library On the Go golf cart to a different Delray location for an engaging, age-specific, pop-up library program featuring themes of educational equity, environmental and community care with curated Children’s books to enjoy.
February’s Library on the Go program celebrates Black Children’s Book Week (February 26 – March 4) and the limitless potential children have in life!
The program will feature empowering #ownvoices titles including “I Believe I Can” by Grace Byers and an interactive read aloud of “Thunder Rose,” an African American tall tale by Jerdine Nolan. Additionally, children will enjoy a “teach-in” of various hand games, hula hooping and jump rope games by our awesome teen volunteers. A gift copy of “I Believe I Can” by Grace Byers will be provided for each child registrant! Meets outdoors at Catherine Strong Splash Park.
