Preschool Storytime celebrating Black Children’s Book Week

On February 29, 2024, the Hamden Public Library’s Preschool Storytime will be celebrating Black Children’s Book Week. The storytime will feature songs, rhymes, movement, books read by a librarian, and a craft. In celebration of Black Children’s Book Week, all of the picture books will feature black children. Ensuring the representation of black children in the materials we present is one way to nurture and celebrate our community’s diversity.
The storytime will take place at Miller Memorial Library, 2901 Dixwell Ave, Hamden, CT 06518 at 11:00 AM. Registration is recommended but not required. Please visit https://hamdenlibrary.org/ or call 203-230-3770 in order to register.
