Black Children’s Book Week Read-A-Thon With B.A.M
This Black History Month B.A.M strives to do more than just share interesting facts. We would like to actually educate our youth on the struggles, trials and triumphs of our people. This year we will be hosting an event in support of the #blackchildrensbookweek. During the week of February 25, 2024 – March 2, 2024 we encourage our youth to read books by black authors. In addition to reading books by black authors, there are various activities that your child can do to earn a bingo. Completing both the reading tracker and the bingo tracker could allow your child a chance to win a prize. There will be three prize given a $100 gift card a $50 gift card and a $25 gift card to our local black owned bookstore (for first, second and third place) in small acknowledgment awards for the remainder of the children who participated.
