A week-long digital celebration of Children's books by Black women authors, hosted on Brown Girl Collective's Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Threads channels.
Black Hands and Black Books
Black Deaf teachers at the California School for the Deaf Fremont recorded themselves reading Black cultural books in American Sign Language. We will feature a book and signed video daily Feb 23-Mar 1st in celebration of Black Children’s Book Week! Follow us on Instagram @blackdeafeducation for the book and video link.

A Celebration of Local Authors and Illustrators
The Aiken County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated will hosts its second Black Children’s Book Week event where we will focus on celebrating local authors and illustrators and highlight young literary talent and educate parents.
Musical Baby Story-time in the Park!
Join South LA Mommy & Me, known by our family as “SLAMM” for a musical baby story time in the park where we read books that reflect our communities to encourage early literacy and friendship between caregivers. We sing, dance, explore instruments, and read books together while building community with others in South LA!
“I Am More Than My Name” Author Event
Join us at Left on Read as we celebrate Black Children's Book Week with a special storytime and book signing featuring Wichita native Dr. Kamshia Childs and her inspiring children's book, I Am More Than My Name!
